The Encounter Unit

Purpose 
This reception area is primarily intended to facilitate meetings between cultures and between religions. In addition, it allows to deepen social awareness, provides a place for the welcoming team to assist the families in need of advice, and for the psychotherapist to care for those who are requiring a psychologic follow-up.

Operational capacity
This unit comprises a three-storey reception building with an accomodation capacity of about 100 people, a sporting ground for several sports and a bedouin tent. About 50 people are regularly attending the weekly activities while many others are participating to summer camps, retreats or seminars, children vacations, or are paying an occasional visit for a few hours or are spending several days.

Weekly program
Every Thursday and Friday a group of Syrians, joined by foreigners, are meeting here and take part in various activities : debates on society subjects ( philosophy, development, environment , psychology…) interreligious prayers, meals, night hiking, yoga, community ( social, farming, environmental…) duties, spare-timing sharing activities…
